id Software has created an ftp site at: ftp.idsoftware.com.

The corresponding fsp site is fsp.idsoftware.com, port 21.

This will be the first site to see any new products published by

id, such as Strife and Quake. It has a very recent snapshot of

the ftp.cdrom.com site and encourages public uploads. The connection

sports a dedicated T1 and a current limit of 50 simultaneous ftp

users, and buttloads of fsp users. There is currently 300+Mb of

Doom and Heretic material on there with about 150Mb free. We will

be adding a few more Gb of free space next month.
