Just a follow up -
The Quake release is certainly a _test_ upload. I haven't been able
to get either of my soundcards working yet, but it's late and I'm
tired.
It's realy a Deathmatch only (net only, no modem) type release, but
I'll work that out tommorrow.
Quake has a cool 3D feeling to it - can't wait to chaulk up my first
frag!
Here's an excert from the readme.txt file:

Here it is, the first public TEST of Quake's Network, Sound and Video
technology. This is NOT a demo and this is not an ALPHA, either. If
this WAS a demo or an ALPHA, you would see monsters moving around,
have more maps to play, and see the neat new effects we're programming
in right now.
Please keep in mind that this TEST is a DOS-ONLY program -- running it
from Win95 may harm performance. If you run this TEST from Win95, you
MUST have a 16mb RAM system.
