Hi Quake Fans,
Please check out the new UNREAL web pages at http://www.epicgames.com
and let us know what you think.
There are lots of screen shots and a few monster pics. The big brown
monster is going to change but you can see how he looks now. Yes, the
monster picures do show exactly how cool they look in the game.
There's also a very small Video for Windows & Quicktime movie of one
of the creatures (currently known as the Manta) in motion so you can
see how cool everything looks. The screen shots are all in 640x480
resolution which is the way anyone with 100 Mhz or higher Pentium
would probably choose play the game. Because it's in Windows 95 you
could, of course, choose any screen size if you're playing in a window
and there's Direct Draw full-screen support for 640x480 and 320x240
(for really slow machines).
Over next few weeks we plan to release a lot more information about
the game so please check in often. If you have any questions please
post them in rec.computer.games.quake as I check there on a fairly
regular basis.
This is the game that PC Gamer says looks "better than Quake".
