Here's how I got sound working with my Ensoniq Soundscape card:

Apparently, I still had my Windows 3.xx drivers which do not provide

Soundblaster 2.0 support.

Contact the Ensoniq web site. There you can get the newest drivers for

Win95. You then need to UNINSTALL the old drivers by getting your

Ensoniq disks and running UNINST.EXE from disk 1. (Disk 1 also

available from the web site.) Then you can install the newer drivers

following the instructions in the TXT file included with the download.

The newest drivers for the Ensoniq and Win95 are in the file called

"w95b44.exe".

I advise you to ignore the instructions found on the website itself as

they are pedantic and confusing. The process is actually very easy.

The Win95 internal hardware install routines do all the work for you.
