[ trim followups accordingly - mod ]
I started a list of all used impulse numbers I could find, mostly from
ftp.cdrom.com.
Players: I hope to have the impulses of most every weapon available
registered in my list, so if you have a few extra impulses and
you want to fill them, check my page. Hopefully server
opperators will keep thier server impulses current with the
list, so you won't need a different keymapping for every
server.
Developers: I would encourage all QuakeC developers that use impulses
to check it out and use either an unused number, or a number
that already contains functions similar to the one they plan
to implement (i.e. if you want to make a better backpack
tossing function, use impulse 20). I also encourage you to
e-mail me with the impulses you use, what they do, and where
to get the .zips and .txts. Also I encourage distribution in
code format, as There are potential security risks in using
pre-compiled progs.dat (see the link on my page).
Server operators: Try to use the impulses registered on my list on
your server to make it easier on your users. Also read the
warning about progs.dat at the top of the page.
note: The page may not be updated yet, as my ISP is upgrading thier
FTP server, and has cut off all user access, wich is the only way to
update web pages (should be/better be up by 08/08/96)
