The Unofficial Official Unoffical (gasp) Quake Page has found a new home at:
http://www.stomped.com
Please update any links you had to this page...
This new site offers us a whole bunch of things we didnt have before.
-It's a mirror to the quake section of cdrom.com, so we'll always have
the latest stuff.
-We also mirror IdSoftware's site, so we can offer any new 'tests' that
come out.
-You can access our files directly through ftp://ftp.stomped.com, we
have our own archive of sorted Quake utilities, levels, and
textures. -You can now easily upload new things to us at the
above ftp site, that
way we'll always be as current as possible.
For those of you who haven't seen the site yet, come check it out, it is
one of the nicest out there. Here's a sneak peak of what we offer.
-Some general info on Quake for those who still don't know what it is.
(are there such people?)
-Some FAQs on using hacked levels, and textures as well as using B&W
with PPP
-One of the most current archives of the latest editors, unpackers,
levels, textures, and misclelanious utilies. UPDATED DAILY!
-Some cool screenshots.
-A page describing and showing all the monsters, including the new ones
created by some talented artists.
-A benchmarking page, which contains info on the performance of Quake on
different systems, great way to pick efficient upgrades.
-Soon to be automated for even faster logging-
-A list of all the commands and what they do, soon to be completely
revamped to make it even cooler.
And if that's not enough, the site is also pretty pleasing to the eye,
so come on by and take a look, and make sure to give us any suggestions
on what we can do to make it even better.
-Nic
