ANNOUNCING A QUAKE TOURNAMENT !!!!!



Sponsers -- COMP USA and the Virtual Gaming Community of Baltimore.


When -- 9/7 and 9/8. Registration is from 10am til NOON on Saturday


the 7th. Only 48 slots are available so get there early!!!


Where -- COMP USA Glen Burnie, MD, Rt2 just south of MVA


Why -- To have a blast and experience multiplayer gaming at it's

HOW -- The rules follow... Spread the word!!!! Lets make this a


killer gib fest!



To pre-register call the Virtual Gaming Community at 410-354-4343


and mail the sysop with the words "register me". You may also send

The playfield:


-Client Computers will be equally powered. At least P133s.


-Clients connected to servers by an ethernet connection.


-32bit quake servers will be run on a 75mhz 486 and a 50mhz 486


-Players may bring their own config.cfg files for keyboard/mouse setup,


no onsite editing so bring your config.cfg file on a floppy if you


want to use a special setup.


-Players will have 5 minutes to install their setup.


-Players may bring their OWN headphones for personal use


-Round 1 will be played on the 1st shareware level. (24 matches) Saturday


-Round 2 will be played on the 2nd shareware level.(12 matches) Sunday


-Round 3 will be played on the 3rd shareware level. (6 matches) Sunday


-Round 4 will be played on the 4th shareware level. (3 matches) Sunday


-Final Round will be three players on a Level to be determined.


-Final will be 30 min. Sunday


Match rules are as follows:


-Each match will be 15mins and most gibs wins the match


-2 matches will be started on the hour and on the 1/2 hour


-Players that do not arrive by the time their match is scheduled will


forfeit their match. NO EXCEPTIONS NO EXCUSES.


-Exits must NOT be used. If a player is BLOWN into the exit then


that player LOOSES.


-Ties will be settled by a Sudden Death Gib.


-During the Sudden death CAMPING WILL disqualify you.


JUDGES WILL HAVE FINAL SAY!


-First gib wins Sudden death


Matches:


Saturday will be round 1 (24 matches over 6 hours)


matches 1 and 2 start at 1pm


matches 2 and 3 start at 1:30pm


matches 4 and 5 start at 2pm


matches 6 and 7 start at 2:30pm


matches 8 and 9 start at 3pm


matches 10 and 11 start at 3:30pm


matches 12 and 13 start at 4pm


matches 14 and 15 start at 4:30pm


matches 16 and 17 start at 5pm


matches 18 and 19 start at 5:30pm


matches 20 and 21 start at 6pm


matches 22 and 23 start at 6:30pm


match 24 starts at 7pm


Sunday will be rounds 2,3,4,and the FINAL


Round 2 (12 matches)


match 1 for winners from Round 1 matches 1 and 2 starts at 11pm


match 2 for winners from Round 1 matches 3 and 4 starts at 11pm


match 3 for winners from Round 1 matches 5 and 6 starts at 11:30pm


match 4 for winners from Round 1 matches 7 and 8 starts at 11:30pm


match 5 for winners from Round 1 matches 9 and 10 starts at NOON


match 6 for winners from Round 1 matches 11 and 12 starts at NOON


match 7 for winners from Round 1 matches 13 and 14 starts at 12:30pm
