Player Knight - Replacement skin for Quake player model

(Skin n.1 from the Armata Brancaleone)

-------------------------------------------------------

Name: plknight.bmp

Destination Model: player.mdl

Author: Paolo "Nusco" Perrotta (well, Adrian Carmack,

really)

Author e-mail: nan0744@comune.bologna.it

Description: This is the skin of the Hell Knight modified for

use by a player. It looks really good. I kept the

arms of the original player character, to make it

look a bit more colourful.

Gibs: No (nobody cares much about them - if you're

picky, the normal player gibs or the Hell Knight

head gib will work fine for this skin).

Notes: I know that somebody else already tried to wrap

the skin of the Hell Knight on a player. The idea

is very nice, but the adaptation I've seen looks a

bit messy in places. This skin was adapted

carefully enough to look almost perfect - as if it

was made by id for this purpose. I made it for our

small local group (the Armata Brancaleone), but I

liked it so much that I decided to upload it.

Of course, credit for this skin should go to id's

Adrian Carmack, not me.

Problems: If you are a trainspotter, you could notice some

seam lines when looking at certain frames of the

model with QuakeME, but they're almost

unnoticeable in a game.

Distribution notes: Plknight.zip includes this text file and the

plknight.bmp bitmap file only - you'll have to

wrap it on player.mdl by yourself. I suggest you

use QuakeME 2.3, an excellent model viewer /

texture replacer for Windoze 95.

Well, this is not really my own artwork, so you

can do what you want with this skin - it would

just be nice if you gave me some credit for using

this skin into your own files.

Please remember that the original artwork is

copyrighted by id software.
