So you've gone through about a hundred clan pages, trying to decide
which clan is the best to join. Clan A have a really nice page, but they
sound like a pack of lamers to you. Clan B seem cool, but they have
about a hundred stupid little requirements, like 'You must worship
Satan' or whatever. Yet another clan page seems ok, but they're like a
pack of miltary buffs. Want a hassle free clan to join, that don't
enforce rules on their players our have some stuck-up asshole telling
you what to do?
Well, if that's the case, you're in luck my friend, cause The Lone
Gunmen are probably the only clan where Anarchy is the only rule. The
closest thing we have to rank is our 'Champion', the best player out of
TLG. Decisions are done by everyone in TLG, and we have our own ways to
decide just who is up to being the 'leader', when we battle against
other clans.
TLG also don't discriminate against anyone. We don't care what your
views are on things, as long as you're a good player, you're in!
PLUS: If you suck at gameplay, but you're a QuakeC god, or can make
levels that would make American McGee spooge, then you can become part
of our development team! We not only crush the opposition, but we like
to come up with great ways to do it as well! We're also seeking artists,
and anyone else that could help with our projects. TLG are stocked with
'grunts', we need thinkers as well!
What do you have to do in order to join? At the moment, Internet play is
impossible for us. JCash has promised that Quake's new network code will
make Quake more playable over the net, so we will not be 'grounded'
forever. There are two ways to get into TLG, one is to go head to head
with three of our players, all on equal machines, in a Trial of
Succession, to see if you've got what it takes to become a Lone Gunman.
(This only applies to Quakers in Brisbane, or can get into Brissy with
little problems.
The other method, is to send us a demo, either single player, or a
deathmatch game. When I say a demo, I mean something like completing
E1M3 on Nightmare skill level, killing ALL monsters, and finding ALL
secrets in UNDER 10 MINUTES. It doesn't have to be something like that,
but If you send is a demo of E1M1 on easy skill level, and killing only
two or three monsters, YOU CAN FORGET IT!
We are also looking for some overseas Quakers who are yet to join a
clan, or have become bored with their own, to start up a chapter of TLG
overseas, and allow them to attract new members from Overseas. We want
TLG to be forever etched into the minds of Quakers as a clan to be
feared.
So if you're interested, check out The Lone Gunmen homepage at:
http://www2.eis.net.au/~lcullen/tlg/index.html
And use our online membership form to join up. If you want to help set
up the overseas chapter, mention so in the 'comments' section of our
form.
So stop playing with yourself, and join The Lone Gunmen. You'll kick
yourself in the arse if you don't.....
