Display Doctor effect is very different from one videocard to another.

I have gotten over 40% on one computer and about 3% on another.

You might be lucky or you might not - But in any case , Display Doctor

increases the overall speed of Quake and other Vesa2.0 games.

-Info: I never have had any problems with installing and uninstalling

Display Doctor

Tip: Another way to increase speed is to run the game under DOS.

NEVER run Quake under Win95 - it has much more available mem under DOS.

Besides on some computers , Win95 locks or runs Quake without sound.

There are other quirks - search and ye shall find.
