Welcome to the 1st UK Quake Tournament.

The tournament will be held at the Moorbarns public house, located on

the A5 near Rugby / lutterworth. It is close to junction 18 (M1) or

junction 1 (M6). The tournament will be held on October 26. A whole

weekend of Quake has been planned. although it is not necessary to

attend both days. Saturday is the BIG day and Sunday is just a bonus

for those lucky enough to stay.

The Moorbarns allows camping for free or alternatively there are 12

chalets available at 40 pounds for a double/twin bed room or 30 pounds

for a single if you share with another person. breakfast and other

meals are available. as well as lots of real, and I mean "real" ale to

drink. If you want a chalet it is important to pre-book the room, some

of the rooms have 3 beds in them making it even cheaper per room.

All the hardware will be supplied by me and a few other friends, it

will consist of 8 networked PCs.

U can bring along your own config files if u wish

There is no entrance fee to the event, but if you want to take part in

a tournament (and win some money) there is a 5 pound fee, this covers

the cost of the room etc. so come along and enjoy yourself, watch

other people play and learn a few new tactics drink, eat and be merry

and above all enjoy it Prize money is a direct percentage of the

takings, so the more people, the more prize money.

As previously posted the tournament will consist of a knockout style

contest with an overall winner at the end of the final. It will be

played with groups of randomly picked players. A time limit of around

20 minutes will be set and the person with the highest frags will got

through to the next round. A specific level will be chosen and the

games will take place on this level only. Exits will be out of bounds

and are NOT to be used. Players who exit will be disqualified. There

will be an opportunity for some team play as well as individual play.
