24 hours of multi-player gaming!

Where: Santa Clara Convention Center

Santa Clara, CA

How much: $20/PC system

On November 23rd, 1996 we will be hosting our 9th FragFest event. For

those unfamiliar with the event, FragFest is the one-of-a-kind multiplayer

network gaming convention that has become the Mecca for PC gamers who are

serious about their fun. It's 24 hours of nonstop multiplayer network gaming

competition. We are now sponsored by:

-Spacetec IMC, makers of the Spaceball SpaceOrb game controller

-Microsoft, which will be hosting FragFest #10 at Judgment Day 2

sometime in Feb'97.

-Broderbund, who will be showcasing some of their latest new games

-Head to Head Gaming Network dial-up gaming service

-Cisco systems will be providing the network we will be playing on.

These days, most PC games being released are designed to not only

support human vs. computer competition, but also human vs human mayhem.

These games don't show their true playability until the target under your

sights is your buddy across the room on his own computer. This is

accomplished with network cards and a length of cable connecting the PC's.

FragFest takes this simple idea to a MUCH grander scale. Our last

conference was attended by over 100 gamers intent on playing their favorite

multiplayer games, including Duke Nukem 3D, Command & Conquer, C&C: Red Alert,

Mechwarrior 2, Need for Speed SE, Whiplash, Superkarts, Nascar Racing, Grand

Prix 2, Magic Carpet, Warcraft 2, Descent 2, Rise of the Triad, Abuse,

WitchHaven, Hexen, Heretic, HyperBlade, Diablo, Shattered Steel, Monster Truck

Madness, Star Control 3, Quake, and of course, Doom/Doom II.

FragFest has grown exponentially with every event and this time is

no different. We're holding the event at the Santa Clara Convention Center

in Santa Clara, CA. This is the same convention center that hosts the

Computer Game Developer's Conference. This event is open to all gamers and

we're expecting attendees from as far as Florida and Washington. There are

many hotels near the event for those that are traveling to attend.
