The newest version of QTeam is now available on the Quake Innovations

home page at www.gis.net/~ggriggs/qi.html. It now includes a large array of

advanced remote administration tools, Capture the Flag, Capture the Shambler,

and Paintball support. There is a special client side pack with seven new

levels, plus new models, and skins to prevent "cross dressing."

Features supported in all game modes include the ability to have

seperate bases and flags, dynamically resizing maps in which areas close off

depending on how many players or teams are in the game, support for up to

eight teams at once, maps that automatically setup the game mode for you,

deathmatch starts that are team-specific, doors and items that only specific

teams can activate or pick up, a large number of new textures suitable for

marking bases, and more. Which features are used are dependant on the map. A

development package is available to anyone interested in designing levels for

any of the QTeam modes.

Capture the Flag -- Capture the flag and return it to your own

base to score. Can make use of the standard id levels, and also includes a

number of custom CTF levels. Has new models for the flags, too.

Capture the Shambler -- CTF a little tame? Try leading a Shambler

back to your base! Tag him, and he joins your team, fighting off other teams,

and following his "leader".

PaintBall -- Deathmatch as an elimination. When you're fragged, you

sit out the rest of the round until only a single team remains. Once

there's only a single team standing, the next round begins immedietly, so

there's no waiting around. This mode works great on any of the standard

levels, in addition to the custom ones available.

Remote administration tools include the ability to designate certain

players as ops and master ops, set passwords for access, use any server

command from a remote client (provided you have ops). Master ops can also

reset the server and make changes to the configuration.
