The latest version of QTeam is now available from the Quake Innovations

web site at www.gis.net/~ggriggs/qi.html. Features in this version include

advanced remote administration functions, Capture the Flag, Capture the

Shambler, and Paintball support.

The special client package offers several new levels for play in the

various game modes, new models, and new skins to prevent "cross dressing."

QTeam supports many special features not supporeted by any other patch,

such as levels that automatically setup the game mode for you, dynamic level

resizing as the number of players or teams change, team specific doors and

items, bases that don't have to be in the same place as flags, and more.

Features used are dependant on the level. Any designers interested in creating

levels for any of QTeam's modes can get a development package on our web site,

or stop by #QTeam on efnet IRC.

Remote administration features include the ability to designate players

as ops and master ops, to set up passwords to prevent other players from

gaining op status, to use any server command from a remote client (provided you

have ops), and to reset and make major changes to the server (if you're a

master op).

Capture the Flag -- Grab the flag and return it to your base to score.

Can be played either on the standard id levels, or on the custom levels

provided in the client side package. New flag models, too!

Capture the Shambler -- Capture the Flag a little tame? Try leading a

Shambler back to your base! Tag him, and he joins your team, fighting off

other teams and following his "leader."

Paintball -- Think of deathmatch as an elimination. Players who are

fragged sit out until only a single team remains in the round. The next round

begins immediately, so there's no waiting around. This mode works great on any

of the id levels, or the ones included in the pack.
