Just wanted to let you all know that P•A•I•N v1.10 will be officially

released Christmas Eve, December 24th. However there will be ONE day

before then that you will be able to download the patch ahead of time

AND be able to see the the ALL NEW web page. The date for this event

will be told ONLY to those on the P•A•I•N mailing list. There will also

be ONE announcement on EFNet #quake.

If you are wondering, there are a LOT of new features going to be in

1.10 and I just wanted to share a FEW of thim with you now:

BFG as a laser weapon (4A) with new weapon model

new runes including speed and shroomz--this is a fun one! =)

better graphics for shotgun shells, frozen entities, and undead

EASY CONFIGURATION WITH THE USE OF QC!!!!

This is my favorite new addition! By editing config.qc and recompiling

with Advanced QCC, you will easily be able to turn on/off MANY features

by simply setting values to 1 or 0! SOME features in this config file

will be:

Gender Selection DEFAULT = 1

Auto-Flare DEFAULT = 1

DeathMatch Cheats DEFAULT = 0

The Mystic Rune DEFAULT = 1

Tuant DEFAULT = 1

Necromancy DEFAULT = 1

Camera View (NEW) DEFAULT = 1

BFG (NEW) DEFAULT = 1

Curcified Zombies in DM DEFAULT = 1

Burning DEFAULT = 1

Multiskin (NEW) DEFAULT = 0

Server Only Mod (NEW) DEFAULT = 0

Server Only Mod will allow PAIN to run with only the progs.dat, but it

will not have all the new graphics and sounds! Clients will NOT need to

download anything to play on this server!

I am also looking for a FEW beta testers. If you are interested, please

mail me and tell my why you think you would make a good beta tester. I

am only accepting a few people, so please don't be disapointed if you

are not chosen.

Oh, and if you want to be on the "mailing list" just send me mail with

anything to do with P•A•I•N.
