Anyone who wants to run QuakeWorld on a private network or a
standalone machine should check this out.
It's a scaled down master server, supporting 100 users.
It's useful if you have an NT network, since Quake does not run under
NT, but QuakeWorld does. It's probably also useful if you want to
develop Quake C patches offline.
