QUAKE LAUNCH, a new launcher that does everything you need!

New version 3.1.97 released!

Here are the new changes since version 1.21.97:

+New screen layout using tabs to switch between different sections.

+New options on Configuration screen to allow recording and playing

back of demos.

+New screen will popup if you have any saved games that you could

load, just cancel if you don't want to load one.

+Fixed bug that would delete zip files if the Windows long filenames

were in lowercase.

+Graphics have been updated.

+About screen also added as a tab.

+A few other minor modifications were done.

+Zip file has grown slightly to 440K.

WARNING!

If you rerun the setup routine it will replace all your existing files

including any setup/information files.

If you want to save existing information the following files can be

copied to a temporary directory and then copied back again after the

new version has installed.

1)QL.INI: the standard configuration information

2)QL_P.INI: the password file

3)QL_M.INI: the multiuser configuration information

4)QL_1.DAT: the QuakeC patch dates/scores

5)QL_2.DAT: the Maps dates/scores

Any other files will be replaced by the new version, these shouldn't

affect any settings you have. The Help file has also been updated to

reflect the new changes.

Alternatively you could just extract the QL.EXE and QL.HLP files and

overwrite the older ones in your QUAKE directory. This will work just

as well.

This new version is to replace the 1.21.97 version, This is a further

enhanced version, mainly due to feedback and bug reports from you.

No libraries, drivers or database engines need to be installed in this

version, the Setup routine just copies the files to the right

locations. No messing with Registry entries either, a straight forward

application with one EXE file and a few INI files.
