The mikeBot Project, at
http://www.ucalgary.ca/~mbwarren/mikeBot/
is (finally) releasing the client-server communication code for mikeBot ( C++ )
This will allow fellow bot developers a quick start into AI, since this code
will handle all the client-server and entity-tracking jobs. Also included are
some skeleton classes for the AI.
Note that mikeBot is incapable of running in proxy mode like stooge bot, so
bear this in mind before flaiming me.
Version 0.1 is now available from the above URL, in the ``code releases''
section. Note that the code only runs on unix systems currently, but a
windows (winsock) version of the socket class is in the works (and is just
a few #define's away ;) )
I have compiled it successfully on AIX and SunOS using the g++ and CC compliers
There is also extensive (IMO ;) ) documenntation at the same site.
