An extensive update has been made to the AfterQuake newsletter, posted at
http://web.infoave.net/~dvlaprad/aq.html
This site contains news regarding id Software's next incredible game, as well
as answers to questions users have about the game.
Here is a sample of a news related item:
NEWS FLASH! id Software's next incredible game engine is no longer called
Trinity! Apparently, the Trinity Broadcasting System has trademarked the name
and will be using it for their own 3D game, which will use 3D Realms' Prey
engine. (Will they license their engine to any cheezy hack on the planet?) Of
course, Pat Robertson is said to have been offended by an early build of the
game, which featured a picture of Christ hanging on the cross. (In an attempt
to maintain consistency, all paintings of Christ have been removed from
Robertson's church, as well.)
Here is a sample question and asnwer:
QUESTION: I heard that id Software's next incredible game will only have one
weapon. Is this true? (From worry@wart.com)
ANSWER: Yes. The weapon is a spatula with which you resentfully flip
hamburgers for a living while college dropouts create cool 3D action games and
make millions of dollars. Yes, the hamburgers will be 3D objects, and word has
it that you may even be able to play as a hamburger in deathmatch. Look for
user-created utilities that allow us to change the hamburgers into pancakes,
pizzas, or whatever.
