description

if you haven't checked out the foxyzoo level, go smash your head against the
next wall - hold on, don't! there's hope. 'cause now here's the the foxyzoo
level foxyzoo2! BIGGER, BADDER and BETTER than ever before. like - hey, now
there's twice as many monsters as before.
ok, i'm a lazy bum, so i've done quite some cut'n pasting to double the size of
foxyzoo. so just in that tradition i'll not create some new blahdeblah here but
just update the old info. you won't notice anyways :)
this is a small level that'll let you have a look at 8 of the coolest new
monsters that are out in the net: willy the spider, the manga babe, the
snakeman the bazooka babe and the new inmates doom's cyberdemon, jumpy blarg,
jurassic parc raptor and x-men tc's wildwing.
each monster has it's own zoo cell with real glass (tm :) windows so you can
have a closeup look at it. you can then either choose to let it loose and
get your butt kicked or teleport it into a small central arena to have it
fight another monster. it can be a little tricky to have them have a go at
each other but if they see you before you jump into the watch room it'll
usually do.
the arena has a small observation room with real glass (tm) windows so you
can have a closeup look at the 'games', hehe. and believe me i was quite
surprised that snaky and bazooka don't always win :) - well as long as you don't
throw that fat doom oldie in there, of course.
Wow! last minute addon: dump the blarg in with some other monsters to get the
action going. this baby *has* some aggressive ai, hehe.
there's more cool monsters around that i'd like to include here. the only
thing i need to be able to do that is the qc source, though. the psionic
slug and the wyvern just as an example lack this. if you know of another
monster that has qc available, let me know and it'll be included in the next
version.
how to install the addon
------------------------
* create a directory called foxyzoo2 off of your quake directory. if quake is in
c:\quake, then that would be c:\quake\foxyzoo2
* unzip the archive into the foxyzoo2 directory. DON'T OVERWRITE YOUR PAK0.PAK FILE
(which should be safely in quake\id1\ anyways)!
* now run quake with 'quake -game foxyzoo2 +map foxyzoo2' from the command line. or
use qfront (from ftp.cdrom.com) to install this thing, that'll make life a lot easier.
copyright and distribution mambo jambo
--------------------------------------
go ahead and take this package apart as you please. use it for your own
levels. as far as the monsters go do what their respective .txt files say.
don't make money with this (hear me, actura??). if modified, give it another
name; if you want to distribute it in electronic format, keep the zip file
intact, include all accompanying .txt files and notify me.
and, of course, make the world a better place, hehe.
