Summary: QC-patch gives fragtable like in Doom2
Keywords: deathmatch fragtable teamplay stats
I want to invite you to DDM. It is a Quake-C-patch (progs.dat) that gives you
detailed information about DeathMatch games in table-form.
If you miss in Quake the summary for each level, as it is offered by games
like Doom 2, Descent 2 or Duke Nukem 3D, like I missed it, then give DDM a
try.
In this newest version 1.1cw there have been only some design changes (I hope
more useful), it should work as good as always. Go and try.
The legend has been moved from the table to the accompanying .txt-file, so
rtfm carefully.
For Dos-users I have now stored the .txt-file in the archiv in Dos-format
(CR/LF) so you can read it with your favorite Dos-editor. I'm sorry for the
inconveniece with the last versions. ;)
Since modifications through QC can't do everything, DDM does not replace the
table invoked with the console-command "+showscores". Instead, it prints its
own table on every player's console.
Note that DDM does not need any external helper programs to analyze the
console debug-logfile, the tables are created and displayed while staying in
Quake. Of course you can still preserve the tables via logfiles, but the
tables need not to be prepared by piping the log through any filter, just cut
out the tables from the log.
For teamplayers you get an extra line to show how well your teams have done.
In the table you can see how well you did for your team (flattening teammates
;-)
You may find DDM at:
ftp://ftp.cdrom.com/pub/quake/quakec/stats/fragtabl.zip,
or any other dir below quakec, where it may have moved.
