Zen Quake is Quake as strategy, of sorts. Ping is less important in Zen

Quake, and mind is more. Walk between the raindrops and see what you've

been missing at

quake.argon.org

which is

38.233.80.136

We used to play this way inadvertently last fall, mostly on servers

which were CPU-starved. We found that it invoked strong reactions,

either love or hate. I missed Zen Quake, so I've tried to duplicate the

effect by modifying the framerate. I think it helps hone your reflexes

at the game, doing some of the things I've always imagined t'ai chi does

for you.

This server is also running the DMPLUS mod, a very enjoyable bit of work

with no nasty weapon toggles. More info is at

Zen Quake on Marlinspike. Because time has inertia.
