I've recieved a complaint about QNE - apparently it can screw up when
saving and delete the entire file it's writing to if it does. Obviously I
was not aware of this when I released it - it did not happen for any of the
beta testers I gave it to - and don't know the exact cause, but if I manage
to trace it I will re-release it.
Until then, however, be careful - the guy who contacted me had a very
customized config setup and when it was deleted, boy was he pissed, so if
you're in any doubt back the file up first!
The most likely cause I can see at the moment is that it runs out of disk
space. I don't think it checks and, although it will recover, it will leave
the file deleted and it's even more vunerable on compressed drives
(although unlikely).
Alex.
