Summary: UK server list available on Web
Keywords: UK Quake server list
I have just knocked up a fairly basic Web page which is a CGI
gateway to the program Qstat running on a list of Quake servers
in or near the UK. The address is:
http://www.new.ox.ac.uk/~adam/cgi-bin/qstat.cgi
More details are on the page itself, but I guess it might be
useful to people who cannot run Qspy or Qstat, or who can't be
bothered to keep track of all UK Quake servers, or both. It
also has a table for looking up the IP address of a given UK
servers if you only know the name. This may be handy if you
don't have access to a DNS host lookup program.
It uses Qstat 1.5, so does not have QuakeWorld support (yet).
Any additions/corrections/comments welcome. It would be quite
nice for this to become an authoritative list of Quake servers
for UK players, if it doesn't become too much of a time-drainer
for me.
